Universal Studios

Over Memorial Day, I took a trip to Universal Studios.  When mom was here, we met Kerry and Boz at Universal Studios and mom got me a season pass.  A few months ago, they sent me a "get a friend in free" card, so I asked my friend Angelus if he wanted to come.  We decided to go on Memorial Day.

We did all of the fun rides...
 Jurassic Park,
the Studio Tour, The Mummy, The Simpson's ride, etc, etc.  We saw Shrek in 4-D:

Angelus took a picture with some friends:

After the park, we went to see a movie.  Prince of Persia.  It was terrible.  Jake Gyllenhal is a terrible actor.

A New Way to Blog - Let's Vote!

I don't really think anyone reads this anyway, but I'm finding long weekly updates difficult to keep up, so instead, I'll write several shorter updates.

Apparently, today was the primary election in the state of California.  I didn't know.  Oops.  I didn't know because every time I try to turn on the news, they start talking about Snooki or Speidi and I have to turn it or risk vomiting.  And DirecTV has something against Fox News because the signal only comes in at 2 in the morning for approximately 37 minutes.  Who the hell holds a primary election in June?  That's not the way it's supposed to work.  The big race in CA was between a right wing republican and a righter wing republican.  Either way, it's ok with me.  I should have voted though.  My dad would be very disappointed.  I'll vote next time, I promise.

And for those of you (who don't read my blog) who think that Southern California is sunny 360 days of the year?  This is what I've seen since June 1st:

They call it June Gloom and it is definitely gloomy.  Literally, it has not been sunny in Los Angeles since June 1st.  It's crazy.  At least it's not raining and it's still pretty warm.  Chilly, but not cold.

Finally, there was another pretty big earthquake here the other night.  Big being 3.7 - it actually woke people up.  We had a 4.4 a few months ago.  The locals are gearing up for the next big one.  They said the last time there was a huge earthquake, there were a series of smaller quakes, not big enough to be damaging.  They also say something about the colder weather being an indicator.  I don't know.  I just hope if it happens, I'm in a place where I'm safe, because falling into this crack would suck.
